Panasonic Tough Book (R5)

Seems like yesterday when Panasonic updated its Tough Book notebook line with the wireless a,b, g network. This time, they add a surprise to their famous R model. Not only is the Panasonic R5 small, light and durable, now it has battery power that lasts for 10 hours. This long battery life is added without adding much weight to the Panasonic R5. It still weights only 990 gram.

They also upgraded the processor speed from Pentium M 1Ghz to the Pentium Centrino Core Solo U1400 1.2Ghz.

Just like the other siblings (W5 and Y5), Panasonic R5 uses magnesium alloy for the body material and added extra protection shock to protect the hard drive. These make it very durable and tough. It is designed to pass a one-foot drop test (please do not try this at home tough :P)

The Panasonic R5 is one of the best in its league (10 inches sub-notebook class). It is very recommended for all of those who need powerful sub-notebook, long lasting battery life yet small enough to be tucked into your bag.
